Two things bewildered me on that Saturday evening: Rahul Dravid chose to bat first on an wicket that promised to offer lateral movement and pace, and Sreesanth – the strike bowler for the season was sitting out. Was he trying to get better TRP for his boys? Or was he contemplating more batting practice for his team before entering the Super 8?
Looking ahead, I only wish India gets to chase in the coming matches. They are better at it and it will make the opposition play the game our way.
